I had seen Jamie’s creations before but lost the website.  Thanks to Jamie posting a blog comment over on Jodie Creagers website I found her again. Yea!!

Jamie makes, as her website states, Functional one of a kind Halloween art. She is a self taught artist living in Kansas with her hubby and daughter. She enjoys working with clocks, jewelry boxes and games but is always looking for unique that she can create for her ebay site or for commissioned pieces.

Go on over and check out her awesome work! Here are a few pics from her site. BTW… I love Alice in Wonderland whimsical!

First things first… I must apologize for not posting about Deadspiders site long ago. My head must be so far into creation land that I could not see clearly. :::bows::: Me apologies Angie and good spooky vibes are still being sent your way in getting your health reigned in.

Deadspider is another prop/dark artist that I have admired from a distance. Most of us Home Haunters and fledgling dark artists tend to lurk in the shadows of the artists that inspire us. We watch, immitate, criticize our own work because it doesn’t compare to theirs, then we start to blossom. We slowly realize it isn’t about having our art look exactly like someone else’s but about finding ourselves in our own art. We never forget who inspires us though, even if we forget to thank them, and most of all we keep watching. Think of it like never forgetting your first grade teacher that you had the crush on.

Now Deadspider, beyond being utterly imaginative with a jar and a label, she is also an incredible prop artist. The first prop that I saw of hers was the Halloween Tree then there was the Winged Demons which I still want to create a version of. The one prop that got me creating was Mr. Hemlock Dench. I actually created a prop that I named Morimal Von Hearsestein, and still use in the cemetery haunt, that was inspired totally by Mr Dench.

Deadspider also has an Etsy shop and sells her Witch Potion jars along with other smaller Halloween items and dark art pieces.

Treat yourself and check out her sites, it’s no trick!

Here are a few pictures that were mentioned:

Grimvisions

I have watched Kurt, aka Krough, aka Grim create for a couple of years now. I have secretly oogled over his creations and when I saw Dolly for the first time I knew I would have to secretly stalk him.

Then there was Mr. Lo Pan, this prop was the ::: insert Angel chorus  here ::: of prop building. He was so thought out and so complete. Not just your typical single standing prop, oh no. He had crates, and a flute, plus that hat! He took it to the next level and showed that it doesn’t need to be just a single creature standing on his own. The creature can and should have their own props to really stand out from the rest, and Mr. Lo Pan does that.

Since then Kurt has created many other prop heads and smaller bookshelf centerpieces. His mummy heads are something to check out. They could fool you if they were sitting in a museum!

I’ll show you a tidbit of his stuff, then you must jump on over to his site. He recently has done a few how-to’s on technique and products used, that are immensely helpful to the new comers and the long timers alike. He has also breathed life back onto some old props by re-blogging them. Don’t miss out, go check them out!

William Bezek amazes me. I do not know what he goes by to his friends and family, Wil, Bill, Willy, Billy, Bez, etc., but what I do know is for a man that I have never met, he amazes me. I may find myself saying that about many artists but each one amazes in their own way. Bezek seems to have a  sense of his surroundings that many wish they could. He see’s things, he sentiments them,  he creates them, at least from what I can see from across the internet.

So his newly posted Voodoo Queen is another to add to the list of amazement’s.  I won’t write about her anymore than to say you must go to his site to read the story he has written and to see all of the pictures that go with her.

Here is a taste, clicking on the picture will take you to her blog entry:

Now presenting Scott Stoll aka Stolloween. The man is the king of paper mache. You must go take a look at his website, search around and be amazed at what the man has done/can do.

Here is a taste…

Pumpkin Rot

The original Pumpkin Rot himself… the man’s imagination is beyond words. Many have taken his ideas and modified in their own attempt at his greatness, but I have seen no one come close to being his equal. Yes we all know that others have their own very masterful ways but Rot still holds the stage when it comes to scarecrows.

Roman Dirge = Myspace Roman or Spookyland but it is currently down.

I love Lenore even though I haven’t been as obsessive with her as I once was. I’m sure rainy day friendness will show it self once again. I think he has/is coming out with Lenore #14 soon. You can read up and see for yourself, I didn’t have time to research it. Here is one of his pictures of Lenore that I just love.

The Shadow Farm

I have loved Dave’s work for sometime now and have only oogled at his props from afar. Now that I have a source for scream-outs, and that he decided to re-post some of his work over on Halloween Forum, I just had to jump at showing him off.
Do I know Dave? No.
Would I like to know Dave? Well hell yeah! I have no Artist friends that I can sit and work with, being in Alaska and all.
