Jennifer and I have never met in person but have socialized on Facebook for years. I have followed her Halloween and professional set painting with enthusiasm. I have teased her for years to please create some set painting video’s, for those of us that live far to far away to go watch her in action. One day Jennifer, one day I will either be stalking you on set or those dang videos will magically appear!

As a new artist you quickly learn that you need to find your niche. Either it be a special way all of your creations will look, or a theme that you lovingly stick to because it drives you. Jennifer found her’s and I fully admit that I am jealous!! I have my niche via theme but she has broke the mold where niche’s go.
I will quit yammering and show you what I mean.

I now present you with Dead Buddies!!

Dead Buddies!!

I started a new craft, Needle Felting. I had never been interested in it before due to the items that I have seen produced weren’t in my…genre, of things I like. Not in to Flowers and foo foo things really.
I believe I started looking for another craft out of pure withdrawals. My house has been in a state of utter chaos since last summer, due to the remodel. Once the Windows were installed in September the Weatherization program came in to do the Weatherization for me and ended up replacing my furnace. The furnace was trying to kill us, it was spiking Carbon Monoxide in the house.

Because of all of the work going on, my craft room had been emptied into my living room, and not in an orderly type way. Months later, after having been rather not in the mood for crafting, I found myself aching to do something…anything. I bought some UV curing resin and started making doll eyes. Made a few sets, but then wanted to put them in dolls, ugh.

Saw some felted items floating around FB or other Blogs and decided I should give it a try. I can always make OTHER type items besides flowers and foo foo stuff right? Researched…researched some more, ask a few questions, found out there are a few dog loving ladies that felt dogs here in town. Went to Michaels, bought a kit and a few needles. I already had Wool Roving for making dolls hair, but the kit had everything I needed.
Below is a picture of the little Hug Monster that I made. Not what the kit called it mind you. I gave it to Sue at work, she was retiring after many many years of working at Dept. Public Safety. It took me about 5-6 hours.

The Witch House was built in 1921 in Culver City, California and was designed by Hollywood art director Harry Oliver. It was moved to it’s present location in 1934, which is located on the corner of Walden Drive and Carmelita in Beverly Hills, California.

The Spadena House name received it’s name from it’s first residential owners but has always truly been known as the Witch House. The house is now owned by Michael Libow, which he purchased in 1998 and set to the renovations that you will see today. The renovations took some 10 years to complete.

This house receives over 3500 Trick or Treater’s every year for Halloween!!

Here are some photos of the house, starting with the oldest photos first.

We have Tattoo’s! I’ve been wanting another tattoo for some time now and know what I want but need to save up the money, when I’m not saving up the money for other ‘life important’ things. Heh!
Thought I would go do a search about and see if I can find some cool, or at least what I deem as cool, Halloween’ish tattoo’s.

First for the Tattoo I want to get a version of…

Self Portrait with Haunted House Tattoo

I love creepy tree’s and haunted houses. When I saw the above photo I was in instant love with it. Having said I love creepy tree’s and haunted houses, you may see a bit of a theme in some of the photo’s coming next…

Not Halloween but it’s an awesome Mad Hatter

We have Etsy!! I strolled over to Etsy and did a search for Spooky Christmas. Here are a few that caught my eye…

We have Spooky Hallow on Etsy!! Carmen does some awesome work. Love the whimsy’ness of her art.

I can’t guarantee the items I show you will still be available… so hurry and check out all her other goodies!

I have a new creation started. I’m not going to tell you exactly what it is but will show you a bit of a peak at what will be apart of it.

Kyle Murphy that is Som Ep’ Laceak took video while we were doing the photo shoot. His daughter is Olivia Murphy and is the young girl you see in the video and it is her picture that I have used my Facebook profile picture. She does creepy so well.
