I’ve been working on some canvases for a project, these are all spoken for and it’s a bit of a secret so I can’t show the completed photos just yet. I can show some teaser photos though!! I plan on making more of these after I’ve completed these.

I have also updated the tabs on this here blog. I combined the Etsy and Ebay stores into the Links tab. I also added The Whimsy Attic tab that will eventually link to my website…once I get it created.

Completed another canvas. This one is called Kerr Mugen:

I’m working on some new canvas’s. I need some quick art that I can sell to help make some money for my WCHC Trip.  I have some new paints coming in, and need to wait on those but until then I will make up a few to get the process down faster.

Here is the one I have finished so far. Raven Silhouette 5″x7″ Mixed media: SOLD

I have the three Ghosts finished. Now on to Scrooge and Marley. I think I’m going to do a door knocker for Marley, we will see…

I have finished the Ghost of Christmas Present. I’m hoping to get all five dolls done before Christmas, but only being able to work on the weekend is making it difficult. I will take better photos of them when they are all done, but for now here is the Ghost of Christmas Present…

I don’t normally create Christmas items, but this year I decided to do A Christmas Carol display at work. I’m making 1/12 size art dolls of Scrooge, Marley, the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present and Future. I haven’t quite figured out the display yet but I’m using the same table and Victorian Canvas’s that I had up for Halloween. Everything will be Scrooge’y and not overly Christmas’y.

Here is the WIP of the Ghost of Christmas Present;

I have finished the Pumpkin Diorama with three days to spare… woohooo!! I did set an earlier deadline for myself so that it could sit on display at work before the Auction. I didn’t keep track of time it took on this one, I was having fun doing it, so keeping track slipped my mind. As for cost to create, I lost track of that too but if I had to guess it would be under $30. I had to buy the Pumpkin, foam and some of the wire, the rest is stock from The Skullery, or as my Fama calls it, Mini Michaels. Heh!

The price that I would put on this one, if I was going to sell it, is $200. I’m hoping it brings close to that at the Auction. The one I made last year, which wasn’t as detailed, went for $75.

Here are a few more WIP pictures:

Here are the finished pictures:

Are you looking for spooky fabric or possibly some awesome wallpaper? Wrapping paper, maybe? How about some spooky based bottles or Halloweeny stuff?

You have got to check out The Calvarium on Spoonflower for the Wallpaper, Fabric and Wrapping paper!. Jeremiah Witting is the designer, and yes he hand draws his designs. He also has an Etsy story where he sells bottles, tombstones, and the like.

I met Jeremiah, although briefly, while at West Coast Haunters Convention. We chatted while I was taking Monsters picture at his shop. I did, rather quickly, parooze through his fabric samples, mainly because I knew I would want to buy buy buy everything!! I did tell him though that once I get moved down to Vancouver, WA and get the new house, I will definitely be buying from him! Shipping to Alaska is well… not going to happen.

I wish the best for him and hope his stuff takes off like gang busters!! He is awesomeness all wrapped up in a human package.

You can follow the man himself on Facebook here
If you go here you can Like The Calvarium on Facebook… which is a total must if you want to see the new designs that are coming out.
The Calvarium Etsy store can be found here.
…or… best yet, you can go over to Spoonflower and BUY his stuff!!! The Calvarium on Spoonflower

Here are some samples of his work… and Monster wanted to make an appearance.

Tomorrow will be 6 weeks since my Wicket has gained his angel wings. I still cry on a daily basis and at times it can be the oddest thing that sets it off. Typically though it is once I have laid down to go to bed, when my brain gets to roam free and not think of work or daily chores that I find despair again. There are times that something on the TV will set me off and on occasion I will find myself in the bathroom at work quietly crying. I miss him beyond anything I can put in to words but I move forward with his memories and knowing that he is always with me. I will be making a memorial shadow box soon, I just need to get a picture printed of him and paint the box that I picked up for his cremains, I don’t know how I’m going to paint it yet, but it will come.

Wicket helped me make some awesome friends. If it wasn’t for my little man, and me wanting him to meet new puppy friends and get exercise at the Dog Park, I would not have met the group of people that came together to have a Memorial Bead made for me. The bead was made by an awesome artist, and fellow dog friend, Elise Strauss. She makes beautiful glass lampwork beads along with the Memorial beads. You can see her work on her business page Koi Creek Beadworks and see some items on her Etsy site.

Below is a picture of the bead Elise made, I can’t thank everyone enough that came together to do this for me and my Wicket. The swirls in the glass are Wickets Cremains…

Fundraising at work has me in The Skullery again. We are having a pumpkin carving Silent Auction/Contest for United way, along with a bake sale of spooky treats. Before my Wicket went to puppy heaven I decided that I was going to enter a pumpkin, I asked the organizer if fake pumpkins along with mixed media would be allowed, yes! Wooo Hooo!!
I’ve always wanted to create a diorama inside a fake pumpkin. So I did… in three days. The Friday before Wickets passing I had gone and purchased the pumpkin, and a few odds and in’s for the creation but come Sunday, the day I had to let me Wicket go, I was in no shape to create much less do anything useful. Come the following Friday I decided to pick it up again and bust butt to get it done. I’m always amazed at what I can do under a deadline but hate doing things that way. I tend to cut corners, that I would normally never do in my perfectionist world.

So babbling and yammering aside, here is the newest Halloween creation:
